About this index
Plyfantsft is an editorial index of sixteen hotels, sorted into four categories that each represent a different idea of what a hotel can be. It is written for people who like reading about buildings before they sleep in them.
What is here
Four sections — art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels — with four properties in each. Every entry is prose. There are no specification tables, no key-value grids and no scores, because a number out of ten tells you very little about whether a room carved out of river ice is a good idea for you.
How entries are written
Descriptions stick to the general, durable character of a property: what the building is, where it stands, how it is organised, what it is known for. Prices change, menus change, seasons close and reopen, so those details are left to the hotels themselves. Nothing here is a review and nothing here is sourced from guest feedback.
What is not here
No booking engine, no availability, no prices, no reviews or ratings, no affiliate placement dressed up as a recommendation. The site is geographically neutral — properties were chosen because they illustrate their category well, not because of where they happen to be.
